Skytrax Reveals the Top Airlines of 2023

The Skytrax World Airline Awards is an annual event that recognizes and celebrates excellence in the aviation industry. Considered one of the most prestigious awards in the airline industry, it evaluates the customer feedback on aspects of the airline experience, including cabin comfort, customer service, and more.

This year, Singapore Airlines has claimed the title of the Best Airline in the world for the fifth time in a row.

Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax, stated “Singapore Airlines achieved outstanding results across multiple award categories, with the highlight being their First Class cabin recognized as the World’s Best First Class.”

Goh Choon Phong, CEO of Singapore Airlines, highlighted the efforts of the team to ensure that the airline was prepared for the recovery in air travel. “This has allowed us to emerge stronger and more resilient from the challenges posed by the pandemic.”

Who came in second position on the Skytrax Awards?

In the rankings, Qatar Airways secured the second position, followed by Japan’s ANA All Nippon Airways in third place, Emirates in fourth, and Japan Airlines in fifth.

Qatar Airways shone in the business class category, earning the titles of World’s Best Business Class, World’s Best Business Class Lounge (the Al Mourjan lounge at Hamad International Airport), and Best Airline in the Middle East.

ANA won the World’s Cleanest Airline award for the third consecutive year and also receiving the award for World’s Best Airport Services.

Kuwait Airways, recently launching a complimentary chauffeur service for first and business class passengers, was named the World’s Most Improved Airline, while AirAsia continued its reign as the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline, having won the award every year since 2010.
