The aviation industry was one of the sectors most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, and finally in 2024, after many months of hard work, sector recovery is imminent, and we could say that airlines and airports are implementing many of the plans that had been stalled, and even others that address needs exposed by the “new normal.” What are we talking about? In this article, we bring you some of the changes that travelers can enjoy during this new year.
Abu Dhabi International Airport

This airport, home to Etihad Airways, unveiled its new Terminal A at the end of 2023. After many delays, they make available to travelers incredible facilities, VIP lounges, and many more connections, which represent a great improvement for travelers.
Indeed, airports around the world have implemented major improvements such as innovative baggage scanners, much more precise, mobile applications in airports that greatly streamline boarding times, and greater connectivity so that travelers can enjoy WiFi services both at the airport and on airplanes.
New airplanes, better services
As new aircraft orders begin to arrive, we will be able to enjoy better onboard services, innovative cabins, and seats available to create unforgettable travel experiences. For example, Japan Airlines began operating the Japan to New York route with a new Airbus where it offers luxurious first-class suites, business class, luxurious premium economy class, and the best economy class seats in the world, many of these seats have speakers in the headrests to provide a more personalized experience.

Another great novelty that we can enjoy in economy class will be large entertainment screens, power outlets, WiFi, and more legroom, as they will eliminate some knee-level support structures. Even Air New Zealand plans to launch its new Skynest beds, a set of 6 capsules with which it can offer its tired travelers a restorative sleep for between $400 and $600 for a 4-hour nap.
All these new improvements and acquisitions of new fleets represent a great improvement for the airlines with which they can not only offer better services but also expand to new tourist destinations, while retaining their customers and creating user experience-based services.
