Spirit Airlines and Frontier merge

Spirit Airlines and Frontier are merging, the announcement was made on Monday, January 7. The merger between the US airlines will bring benefits in airfares.

That is why the merger of US airlines Spirit Airlines and Frontier will bring a benefit to the consumer. William A. Franke, Frontier’s Chairman of the Board, said, “We have worked closely with the Board of Directors and management team of both companies to arrive at a combination of two complementary businesses that together will create the most competitive ultra-low-fare airline in the United States for the benefit of consumers”.

This formula will not only enhance the organization’s growth and expansion but also competition by generating better deals that consumers can take advantage of first-hand. 

New competitive rates

In this sense, the merger between Spirit and Frontier promises to bring lower fares to forgotten destinations in the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean. In addition, it will not only give importance to underserved destinations but also major cities in the aforementioned destinations. 

The union of the two airlines not only promises great benefits but also strengthens their presence in the airport market, becoming a strong competitor to other airlines that have a greater presence in the market. 

Similarly, Frontier CEO Barry Biffle says: “Together, Frontier and Spirit will be the greenest airline in America and offer more ultra-low fares to more people in more places”.
