Comlux received its first Airbus ACJ TwoTwenty powered exclusively by Pratt & Whitney GTF engines, and it was grounded at the Comlux facility in Indianapolis to complete the cabin.
Comlux Completion will design, manufacture and integrate the VIP cabin interior selected from the multiple configurations, and cabin options offered by the ACJ TwoTwenty.
The ACJ TwoTwenty completion process incorporates the latest in 3D modeling technology, and beyond aesthetics, the system provides a virtual interactive capability. Allowing the interior to be analyzed from an ergonomic, functional, and equipment maintenance standpoint. Demonstrating how the aircraft will perform in service.
Daron Dryer, CEO of Comlux Completion, said: “Our design and engineering teams have been working on the program alongside the ACJ team for over two years, and now it’s here. Thanks to the new Virtual Reality tool that we have developed especially for this program, the completion process will be the most efficient, rigorous, and reliable we have ever achieved, allowing us to guarantee an entry into service in early 2023. We could not dream of a better start in the new year!”
The ACJ TwoTwenty is a new and unique value proposition for business aviation buyers, and is the only business jet to feature six expansive VIP seating areas. Approximately 12m2/130ft2 each, and is priced at a bizjet ULR.
