American Airlines will begin to use the digital health passport ‘VeriFLY’ from this Saturday, January 23rd. With this application, passengers will be able to inform the airline about the result of their covid test and will be able to consign other documents required for international travel.
To use VeriFLY, travelers must download this application, create a username, enter their destination, and upload the requested documents to their account. This digital passport is available for those who wish to travel from the United States to Jamaica, Chile, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras, using any mobile device with an iOS or Android operating system.
“We are expanding our work with VeriFLY to rapidly evolve the use of the application and facilitate international travel for our customers,” said Julie Rath, vice president of customer experience at American Airlines.
So far, American is the first US airline to present an easy proposal to provide information on COVID-19. Test results thus streamlining the travel process to international destinations to prevent the spread of this virus.
