This year’s Airline Excellence Awards are based on high levels of service, innovation, commitment, and important government, and safety audits.
To qualify, airlines must earn seven stars in safety and demonstrate that passenger comfort is paramount.

Qatar Airways was ranked the No. 1 airline for its cabin innovation, passenger service, and its dedication and commitment to continue operating during the pandemic.
“In our objective analysis, Qatar Airways ranked first in virtually all of our audit criteria, which is an exceptional performance”, said Geoffrey Thomas, editor-in-chief of AirlineRatings.com.
Air New Zealand ranked second in the Top 20 for its continued innovation and industry leadership. It also won the award for best economy and premium economy class.
In the third position was Singapore Airlines, which continues to excel in technological innovation and in-flight products. The airline also took the award for best first-class.
Qantas took fourth place for its outstanding safety record and fiscal performance during the pandemic. It also won the awards for best lounge and best domestic service.
Emirates climbed to fifth place thanks to its premium economy class, which is being hailed as one of the best in the industry.
