The aviation industry is crossing a technological frontier, and Qantas Airways is not far behind, and they are organizing a series of “ghost flights” that would go from New York and London to Sydney, with the intention of verifying the results of these flights long
These tests will be carried out with a total of 40 passengers and crew, most of them workers, and will be kept under a series of medical evaluations and controls in order to observe their reaction to 20 hours of continuous flight, before starting commercial services.
The Australian airline informed that it is already in contact with the indicated companies to design these planes that will be able to fly much further without any problem; and although they have not yet decided between a Boeing or an Airbus, in October the simulations of this flight will begin with Dreamlines – Boeing Co.
These planes would be lighter, faster, consume less fuel and carry fewer passengers, which means having more space between each seat, thus generating a higher level of comfort and comfort for each of the travelers.
Although Qantas wishes to market these flights between New York and London to Sydney as of 2022, they have already announced other direct routes from the East Coast of Australia to destinations such as Rio de Janeiro, Cape Town or Paris.
Until now, the longest commercial flight registered is between the capital Qatari, Doha, and the New Zealand city of Auckland, with a duration of 17 hours and 40 minutes, which would be surpassed by the new Qantas Airways project, making it the flight Longest in the world.
