The airline Oman Air will request an alliance with Oneworld, a few days ago the airline announced to be part of the global alliance, to take the travel experience to the next level.
The Persian Gulf airline is seeking help from Qatar Airways to make its grand entry into Oneworld, which would mean growth to increase its capabilities worldwide.
“As airlines recover from COVID-19, alliances will become more important in providing global connectivity as airlines reshape their networks, many with smaller fleets compared to their pre-COVID size,” said an Oneworld spokesperson.
Some of the airlines that are part of Oneworld are American Airlines, British Airways, Malaysia Airlines, Japan Airlines, and Iberia. In this sense, the union of Oman Air to this alliance will allow promoting the growth of connections and new routes or destinations, in addition to allowing its users to add miles and new loyalty programs.
The last airline to join was Alaska Airlines earlier this year, we just look forward to Oman Air’s welcome to Oneworld.
