The Residence, the most expensive flight in the world

Imagine a 15-hour flight, where you can enjoy different luxuries in the best style of a 5-star hotel.

This flight experience is called The Residence, which offers a full apartment in the heights, with a butler and chef available during all hours of the flight.

The Residence is a service provided by the Etihad airline, and is present on its A380 aircraft, on the route from New York to Abu Dhabi. The ticket has a cost of 64 thousand dollars per person, which due to the distribution of the plane, only a maximum of two passengers per flight is allowed. So far it is located as the most expensive ticket today.

To start, a limousine driver picks up the passenger at home to transfer him to the airport. Upon arrival, you are escorted to a VIP room with spa service, to wait for the flight, while choosing all the travel details such as: the menu, and the type of pillow of your choice.

Already on the plane, you receive a small welcome note to The Residence signed by the captain in the apartment, which has 3 rooms: bedroom, living room and bathroom.

The bedroom has a double bed with luxury pajamas ready for guests, and a 24-inch TV, in addition to the possibility of receiving breakfast in bed.

The living room of the suite is furnished with a sofa for two people, another 32-inch TV, unlimited internet and a sliding compartment for drinks, this being the place where the passenger will enjoy the exquisite dishes offered by the chef of The Residence .

For its part, the bathroom, unlike the common airplane baths, has a shower and soft robes, and also, a kit of personal amenities of the Acqua di Parma brand.

During the whole flight, which lasts almost 15 hours from New York to Abu Dhabi and 13 back, the passenger has a private butler at their disposal, and can order the dishes of their preference and drinks from their particular bar at the time they wish.
