The future is now, and that is that at the aeronautical level there are many advances that we now see and Alice is a sample of this. With the promise of being an economical, eco-friendly and fast aircraft, the characteristic that most attracts our attention is that it is the first electric aircraft powered by three engines.
The ship is part of the Israeli manufacture Eviation Aircraft, which was presented at the fair of the Paris Air Show and that after passing the relevant tests in 2019, will begin manufacturing the aircraft at the end of this year, so it expects the aircraft to be operational by 2022.
In this sense, the American airline Cape Air, becomes one of the main customers that Alice will serve, a good omen because thanks to this they will begin to replace the outdated fleets with these electric alternatives, with which the costs are reduced of maintenance and operation, says Caroline Venza for EFE.
Alice, has an elegant design that incorporates the latest technology, has three electric motors of 250 kilowatts that are distributed in a main thrust propeller in the tail and two propellers at the tips of the wings. This is what the portal Vanguardia.com.mx reviews. If one of them stops working due to some damage to the system, the tail propeller is able to land and take off the plane without any inconvenience.
They also report that:
“The current version of Alice, the Commuter 2022, was designed to comply with US aviation regulations, and can carry two crew members and nine passengers at 1,050 kilometers away, with a single electric charge, flying at a speed of cruise of 445 kilometers per hour and 10,000 meters of altitude ”.
Without a doubt, with the arrival of Alice, the aeronautical system is reinvented providing greater comfort with the latest in design and technology innovations. Also, Alice is the beginning of a new era that begins from this moment with the implementation of new aircraft fleets for intermediate-distance domestic flights.
